Beschreibung

Clinicians are always looking for an intervention that may be more effective, more efficient, better tolerated by clients, or easier to master. Progressive counting is a significant advance in trauma treatment: a study comparing progressive counting to eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR, the prior leader in trauma treatment efficiency) found progressive counting to be as efficient as EMDR and as well tolerated by clients. Moreover, progressive counting is much simpler to learn and to do properly and is preferred over EMDR by most therapists trained in both. Now that progressive counting has been proven effective and efficient in controlled research, this book is here to show you how to do it.

Über den Autor

Ricky Greenwald, PsyD, is the founder and director of the Trauma Institute & Child Trauma Institute, affiliate professor at SUNY University at Buffalo School of Social Work, and was previously on faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (NYC). Dr. Greenwald is the author of numerous professional articles as well as several books. His trauma training methods have been widely emulated internationally, and his work has been translated into over a dozen languages. Dr. Greenwald has received awards for both his research and his service, and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.
