Beschreibung
The utilization of the natural polymers is preferred in current times, owing to the promotion of ¿green¿ bio-materials from ¿green¿ chemistry and technologies. Increasing use of natural polymers in various drug delivery systems make them more popular and raise the demand of more research and development for successive commercialization. The functionalization of natural polymers has been carried out to overcome their some pitfalls such as poor viscosity, mechanical strength, microbial degradation and low solubility as well as biocompatibility. Moreover, the modified natural polymers improve drug delivery properties and versatility.
