Giancarlo Gandolfo has been Professor of International Economics at the University of Rome la Sapienza from 1974 to 2010, when he retired. Federico Trionfetti got the Laurea in Economics at La Sapienza University, Rome, and the Ph.D. at the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva. He has held academic positions in the U.S. and the U.K., he spent a year as visiting scholar at Harvard University and two years as Marie Curie post-doctoral research fellow at the London School of Economics. Since 2002 he is Professor of economics in France, first at University of Paris 13 then at Aix-Marseille University.
