Beschreibung
Learning to express yourself without inhibitions whilst having fun in a group, that's the motto, and that's exactly what the new textbook for the young at heart 'Autumn Years - English for Seniors' from BEL Verlag delivers.
In this workbook, the vocabulary and grammar from the coursebook are repeated and consolidated. It is suitable as homework or as a supplement to the coursebook.
'Autumn Years' is the basis for entertaining learning in a relaxed atmosphere and is the result of the authors many years of diverse practical work. The grammar is explained and applied simply without a lot of technical terms and there are lots of detailed examples with practical exercises for each topic. The vocabulary used does not have to be learnt off by heart, rather is explained and used in context. The focus is on speaking, listening and understanding.
Here we accompany Helga and Wolfgang, their daughter Anja and their American son-in-law John on a family visit to Germany where the family spends many enjoyable days together. The first important terms of the English language are introduced in a playful and quick way. The topics include: Family - House - Breakfast - Days of the week - Question words - Body parts - Fruits and vegetables - Clothing - Time of day - Animals.
Autumn Years Beginners is suitable for first time learners or for learners whose English skills are very poor.
