Sabrina Mervin: Sabrina Mervin is a senior researcher at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and the co-director of the IISMM (Institut d'études de l'Islam et des sociétés du monde musulman). She worked at the Institut Français du Proche-Orient, Beirut, from 2004 to 2008. A historian in Islam and contemporary Shiism, she is the author of several books and articles on the topic.
