The Retraction of Things was an exhibition series curated by Lukas Töpfer. It dealt with various aspects of exhibiting: the "institution", the curator, the collector, the "public", "the work", the canon etc. The exhibitions took place at 3½,a small room between the third and fourth floor of the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, from September 2014 to January 2015. Their duration varied - from one day to one month. The fourth publication in the series KW Pocket is published as a tin can containing 25 cards documenting parts of the exhibition series.Design: Felix Kiessling; the series KW Pocket was developed by Studio Quentin Walesh
