Ellen Jurik was born in the outskirts of Perth, Western Australia, the most isolated capital city in the world. She has spent her career working in video game development, as a Game Director, Narrative Director, Writer, Designer, and Producer. She has spent the better part of a decade and a half creating mobile, PC, and console games, exploring new and existing IPs, building worlds and telling stories across media, most notably as Game Director of an adaptation of Colin Thiele's "Storm Boy." She now lives and writes in Sydney, New South Wales, which is often incorrectly assumed to be Australia's capital city. This is her first novel.
