Rediscover your Personal Power and Peace of Mind

In the first century C.E., the Greek philosopher Epictetus offered a cure for the frustrated, out-of-control feeling that plagued many people, even then. His teachings survive in the Discourses and the shorter Enchiridion (handbook)--teachings compiled by one of his most devoted students. Discover Epictetus' ancient Stoic wisdom of self-discipline, rationality and equanimity.

Epictetus teaches us to focus on what we can control--and to let go of the rest. His Socratic style of reasoning and illustrative stories inspire us to turn our attention inward, finding solace in the ability to exercise freedom of choice and live according to reason. This is the key to a virtuous, productive, and happy life.
