His other books include The Roman Mind (1956), Higher Education in the Ancient World (1971) and The Noblest Roman (1981). D.H. Berry (Introduction) is Lecturer in Classics at the University of Leeds and the editor of Cicero: Pro P. Sulla Oratio (1996).
