He currently teaches at Florida Atlanta University's Department of Urban and Regional Planning and is a Fellow at its Center for Urban and Environmental Solutions (CUES). He has been co-editor of the Journal of Urban Affairs and President of the Urban Politics Section of the American Political Science Association. He has published 13 books and more than 100 articles on various aspects of urban development and public policy.
