Beschreibung
A modern handbook for players who want to take control of the opening. Miles Defence explains why ideas beat memorisation and how to systematically create initiative and practical problems for your opponent. Through clear principles, model games and practical exercises you will learn to recognise the critical moments, choose the right plans and ease the transition into a winning middlegame.
Black is often expected to react, neutralise White and equalise before the real game begins. Miles Defence challenges this assumption. By meeting the Kings Gambit with immediate counter pressure, Black defines the character of the struggle early and forces White to make concrete decisions in unfamiliar structures, where theory quickly gives way to practical judgement. Here you will find model games, tactical themes and exercises that turn ideas into wins.
For club players and ambitious amateurs who want to build a robust, creative opening repertoire, not just more lines to memorise. Learn to think in ideas, not variations.
