Beschreibung
The success of the previous editions of Forensic DNA Typing has created an overwhelming demand for an introductory level textbook on the subject. Fundamentals of Forensic DNA Typing satisfies this need by providing a basic textbook to aid students in gaining an introductory understanding of forensic DNA testing. The basic text will contain simpler "starter" information, while incorporating popular elements of Forensic DNA Typing such as the Data, Notes and Applications (D.N.A.) Boxes that are expanded on to bring perspective and purpose to the topics covered in each chapter. In addition, the pros and cons of the currently controversial technique of familial searching will be explored. With its clear and understandable style and extensive list of online ancillaries and study aids, this textbook will make the subject accessible to students in forensic science courses worldwide.
