Finding Your Leather Tribe: Leathermen Speak Out on Authenticity, Self-acceptance and Brotherhood
Feel confident walking into your first leather bar, and know exactly where to find your people, at home or abroad.
"Authentic tales of that second coming out... perfect for travel adventures and quiet reflection alike."
-Jack Fritscher, Editor Emeritus, Drummer Magazine
More than 50 years ago, Larry Townsend wrote that most gay men come out once, but leathermen come out twice, first to their sexuality, and again to their fetish. Finding Your Leather Tribe continues that conversation, exploring what it means to live that second coming out with pride, honesty and heart.
This book brings together those stories, along with practical resources, to help you feel seen, supported and connected to a leather community of your own.
This comprehensive guide combines intimate personal stories from leathermen across more than a dozen countries with practical resources you can use today. You'll find a curated directory of leather and kink bars, events, social groups and retailers organised by location, plus essential readings on leather history and culture.

Über den Autor
Graham J. Clark is an out, proud gay man and leatherman whose journey has been shaped by moving cities, coming out, and finding his place in the gay community. Those first few years after relocating were a blur of new friendships, latenight conversations, and hardwon selfacceptance as he learned to live as his most authentic self. Drawn by both curiosity and the warmth of the people he met, Graham found his way into the leather scene and has since become an active part of the community it offers. He has a background in education and digital learning design and is passionate about creating inclusive, accessible learning experiences that help people connect, grow, and thrive. Graham lives in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia with his partner and can often be found sipping a Campari spritz and catching up on RuPaul's Drag Race.
