While working on a regular IT job in India, I heard about a volunteering year in Germany and saw this as the key to my independent world. Despite facing numerous rejections, I eventually made it to Germany. What was it like to start new in a foreign land, coming from a conservative South Indian Christian family?

This book is the realization of a big dream - a short autobiography of my life journey in Germany. It recounts my journey of immersing in a new culture, connecting with people, learning the language, and adapting to the lifestyle, as well as my efforts to fully integrate into it all.
