Richard Evans is currently Senior Visiting Research Fellow in the Department of Biblical and Ancient Studies, University of South Africa. He has previously lectured at the University of South Africa and at Cardiff University, UK. His research interests include Roman republican politics; the urban topography of city-states; and the historians Herodotus, Thucydides, Diodorus and Livy.
