In the world's most dangerous and volatile places, leadership is not taught in conference rooms. It is tested in war zones and overcrowded refugee camps, in prisons overflowing with the forgotten, and in moments when the "correct" decision or rule may still leave people [...] Agunamakuash, Piero Gandini recounts fourteen years of humanitarian leadership on the front lines of crisis across Angola, Indonesia, Chad, Darfur, Peru, South Sudan, Colombia, and India. Working first with the JRS and later with MSF, driven by a singular purpose: to serve people affected by conflict, injustice, poverty, and political failure. The stories he tells are raw, immediate, and deeply human. Piero brings readers inside high-stakes leadership decisions few ever witnessNamed after the word given to him by a South Sudanese community, Agunamakuash is not a leadership manual. There are no formulas, productivity habits, or polished lessons. Instead, the author offers something far rarer: an unfiltered portrait of leadership under pressure, and a deeply personal account of what happens when a person chooses, day after day, to make a difference and do what is right, even when the cost is high.
