Seana Smith was born and brought up in Scotland, in the village of Ormiston, East Lothian, just 12 miles from Edinburgh. After studying Classics and Old and Medieval English at Wadham College, University of Oxford, Seana worked for 10 years as a TV researcher and producer at Channel 9 in Sydney and at the BBC in London and [...] moving to Sydney, Australia, Seana's first book was published in 2001, the very practical Sydney For Under Fives. Further books included The Australian Autism Handbook, now in its 4th edition, Beyond The Baby Blues and Wildly Weird But Totally True: Australia. Seana's latest book is the quitlit classic 'Going Under': a memoir of family secrets, addiction and escape.I have also written freelance articles for a wide range of publications, including The Scotsman, The Scots Magazine, Punch, The Australian Magazine, The Sun-Herald and most recently the Sydney Morning Herald and Outdoor Swimmer magazine.
