This workbook aims to help teens and adults develop their vocabulary through reading passages written at an appropriate level. The workbooks are organized around four themes: health, wildlife, the environment, and popular culture. Each lesson presents a non-fiction passage that relates to one of the four themes and a set of activities. The workbook activities can be completed independently, with a tutor, or with a group. Repetition is essential for vocabulary development; consequently; each lesson presents five activities that focus on the new words. Über den Autor

Susan Rogers grew up on a farm in Co. Louth, Ireland. One of six kids, she enjoyed the country life. Upon finishing school, Susan went to England, where she trained to be a nurse. After moving back home, she met and married her soul mate Damien Rogers and had two girls, Katelyn and Charlotte. Susan appreciates how precious life is and always tries to look on the positives in life. She loves her family, going for walks, and listening to music.
