This volume tackles one of the most promising and interdisciplinary developments in modern Translation Studies: the psychology of translation. It applies the scientific study of emotion to the study of translation and translators in order to shed light on how emotions can impact decision-making and problem-solving when translating. Séverine Hubscher-Davidson is lecturer in Translation Studies at The Open University (UK). She is the author of several peer-reviewed articles on translators' psychological processes, tackling topics such as translators' ambiguity tolerance and intuition. She has also co-edited books on cognitive processes in translation and translator education.
