David Jones is a journalism graduate working at a dead-end job in a hospital until he can secure a career in media. He's putting off his engagement to Christy, a successful teacher, until his finances improve.

What do these people all have in common and how are they cosmically related? Their lives seem to merge, until one day when David looks in the mirror, and he sees Kennedy's face.
