Joe R. Feagin is a Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M University. Feagin has done much research on racism issues for 56 years and has served as the Scholar-in-Residence at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Du Bois Career of Distinguished Scholarship Award, Cox-Johnson-Frazier Award, and Public Understanding of Sociology Award. He was the 1999-2000 president of the American Sociological Association.
