Arkady Fiedler (1894-1985) was a Polish writer, journalist, and adventurer. He studied philosophy and natural science in Kraków, Poznä and Leipzig. He took part in the Greater Poland Uprising in 1918 and was one of the founders of the Polish Military Organization. He traveled extensively and wrote 32 books, which have been translated into 23 languages and sold over 10 million copies in total.
