Beschreibung
The book gets published on the occasion of the art parcours The Way of the Water which meandered in 2024 as part of the festival Tangente St.Pölten from south to north and back along the local waterways, the Traisen and Mühlbach. It features 24 artists working directly in and with water as their conversation partner. In the parcours, water "writes" its way across the landscape of the city, inspiring installations, encounters and storytelling. The Way of the Water is an exhibition that recognises the social and political significance of drinking a glass of water, thinking with water and being water in St. Pölten and everywhere else in the world.
Next to background information on the different works of art, the catalogue includes essays and texts by Astrida Neimanis, Elke Krasny and Erena Rangimarie Omaki Rhöse.
Artists: Cecylia Malik, Christina Gruber, Edgar Calel, Hélène Meyer & Filip Van Dingenen, Rita Fischer, Clara Laila Abid Alsstar, Amanda Piña, Elisabeth von Samsonow, Eva Grubinger & Werner Feiersinger, Javier Téllez, Lisa Tan, Sissel Tolaas, Jimena Croceri, Ursula K. Le Guin, Katarina Pirak Sikku, Slavs & Tatars, Roberta Lazo Valenzuela, Sophie Utikal, Klara Hobza, Regina Hügli, Lisa Truttmann, Paola Torres Núñez del Prado, Rainer Prohaska, Kollektiv Neonpink
