Matthew Brenden Wood is a math and science teacher with a passion for STEAM education. He is also an avid amateur astronomer and astrophotographer. He is the author of several recent books for Nomad Press, including Projectile Science: The Physics Behind Kicking a Field Goal and Launching a Rocket with Science Activities for Kids; The Space Race: How the Cold War Put Humans on the Moon; Planetary Science: Explore New Frontiers; and The Science of Science Fiction. Matthew holds a bachelor's degree in astronomy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Alexis Cornell is a graduate of The Center for Cartoon Studies. She has illustrated more than10 titles for Nomad Press, including Artificial Intelligence: Thinking Machines and Smart Robots with Science Activities for Kids and The Human Body: Get Under the Skin with Science Activities for Kids. She lives in Northampton, Massachusetts.
