A practical guide for modern-day parenting geared towards stay-at-home dads, offering advice on everything from learning to cook and clean with children, to dealing with mental health and relationships, with the easygoing perspective that dads can use their natural talents to parent any way that they choose.

The Ultimate Stay-at-Home Dad manual takes the best advice and wisdom from a dads' group, and puts it into a format to help new stay-at-home fathers. Characterized by actionable and direct advice to fathers, the book takes on parenting from a father's point of view and encourages dads to use their natural talents to become a better parent. That advice is further bolstered by an additional 57 other dads who also give advice. All this advice is framed by the author's personal stories, which help the reader connect with the content and drives the advice home. This is a book that takes on day-to-day parenting, not just as a stay-at-home dad-working fathers could benefit from this book as much as at-home dads.

Zusammenfassung
NO BOOK FOCUSED ON STAY-AT-HOME DADS: Most parenting books are geared toward stay-at-home moms, or treat dads as if they are more of a supporting parent than a central parent, or worse, completely inept at parenting, but this book aims to show that not only can dads be the central parent, but also that parenting isn't as difficult as most parenting books for dads make it out to be.

EXCELLENT SALES POTENTIAL: Dad-focused books like The Dad Lab and The Diaper Dude (both TarcherPerigee) have sold between 30k and 70k copies in the past few years alone, showing that there is a huge demand for dad-focused parenting books, and the stay-at-home element of this book will give it a leg up on the others without that focus.

RISE IN MEN HANDLING CHILDCARE: The recent recessions and the pandemic have put a lot of fathers back into the home and they are facing challenges that many haven't faced before: childcare. This book will do very well reaching those men and taking it beyond the stay-at-home dad demographic. They need help on a day to day basis and will even benefit from taking the 'adventures' to the weekends and beyond. This book can do that. This book can go beyond readers that can afford to have a parent stay home, because we are all home.

FOCUS ON MENTAL HEALTH AND SUPPORT GROUPS: The book emphasizes the importance of having a support group of other stay-at-home dads, which could lead to book club-type groups of stay-at-home dads. The book also offers advice on how dads can take care of their mental health while juggling childcare, which is often not discussed in fatherhood, and the book encourages the idea that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, upending the hypermasculine perception of fatherhood.

REAL STORIES FROM REAL DADS: The book features input and advice from 57 different dads, which gives a more real-life feel to the book and allows for more diverse perspectives and experiences.

PUBLISHING FOR MOVEMBER: "Movember" is an annual November campaign where men grow mustaches to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. A major highlight of the book is mental health for stay-at-home fathers.
