Über den Autor
Kahlil Gibran (1883-1931) was a Lebanese-American poet, artist, and philosopher whose work bridges Eastern and Western spiritual traditions. Born in Bsharri in present-day Lebanon, he emigrated to the United States in his youth and later moved between Boston, New York, and Paris. Writing in both Arabic and English, Gibran achieved international recognition with The Prophet, which remains one of the most widely translated and enduring spiritual works of the twentieth century.
