"The Messianic Significance of the Unique Readings of the Large Isaiah Scroll (1QIsaa)," is an attempt to explore messianic underpinnings behind certain scribal variations which may have not had been attested in any other texts. These texts were investigated using textual criticism to see whether these variations project any ideological and textual affinities with other biblical and the sectarian documents of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Keeping this hypothesis in mind, the book answers three pertinent questions: 1) Is there any messianic significance in the Unique readings of 1QIsaa? If so, do they reflect any distinct messianic ideology as reflected in the sectarian Dead Sea Scrolls? What is the messianic milieu of the 1QIsaa?
