Henry Scougal (1650-1678) was a Scottish theologian and professor of divinity at King's College, Aberdeen. Though he died at the young age of twenty-seven, his short devotional work The Life of God in the Soul of Man became one of the most widely read spiritual texts of the seventeenth century.
