The first generation of Sunbeam Alpine was produced in 1953-54 and was named after the prestigious Alpine Rally which ran through the mountains of France and Italy. The name was resurrected in 1959 for a new model, the principle subject of this book. It was launched in July of that year on the French Riviera and remained in production until 1968. Über den Autor

John Willshire studied and started his working life as a graphic designer. After leaving his advertising job, he started and ran his own driving school which continued until 2013. His interest in Classic cars led him to buy a Sunbeam Alpine Series V in 2002 and then a factory Prototype Alpine with racing history. He has spent ten years researching the history of my Historic racer and with it the history of the Alpine in general, He now regularly contribute articles to the Sunbeam owner s club magazine."
