What if autism isn't a disorder to be fixed - but a glimpse into the future of human thought?
In The Autism Revolution, John Etherington introduces Mind Fidelity Theory, a groundbreaking framework that challenges traditional views of autism. Drawing on lived experience, executive leadership, and cutting-edge research, John reveals how autistic minds process reality with greater accuracy, less distortion, and a deeper resistance to illusion, and how this may be shaped by evolution.
From Plato's Allegory of the Cave to the latest insights in neuroscience, genetics and evolutionary theory, this book reframes autism as a mode of perception that may be essential in today's complex and rapidly changing world.
Inside, you'll discover: Why autism has been misunderstood for so long
How "mind fidelity" explains the strengths and struggles of autistic cognition
New ways to improve communication and collaboration between neurodiverse and neurotypical minds
A vision of autism not as a deficit but as a key to human evolution
The Autism Revolution is more than a book about autism. It's a manifesto for rethinking perception, embracing diversity of thought, and redefining what it means to be human.
