B.A. Stretke a commencé à écrire lorsqu'en CM2 un professeur lui a dit qu'il en était incapable. Cette même obstination et motivation lui ont fait découvrir un véritable talent. B.A passe ses journées à rire, à lancer des sarcasmes et établir des plans pour épouser un riche Canadien afin d'offrir une Lamborghini à sa mère. Il rêve autant d'être instituteur que d'être romancier, et d'avoir un placard assez grand pour contenir sa collection obsessionnelle de cardigans. B.A écrit pour échapper à la monotonie de sa vie de petite bourgade, sans jamais perdre la motivation d'écrire le roman qui redéfinira l'Amérique.
B.A vit à Sault Ste. Marie dans le Michigan, avec deux chats pourris gâtés ainsi que ses amis et sa famille, chers à son c¿ur.
