Born in New York, Jules Stewart is a London-based author of many books, including Gotham Rising: New York in the 1930s and Policing the Big Apple: The Story of the NYPD, the latter also published by Reaktion Books. Together, Crisp and Stewart are coauthors of Reaktion's Madrid: Midnight City.
