What if the job you already have is the mission you've been praying for?
In Significance, David Brühlmann, a chemical engineer turned PhD biologist turned humanitarian entrepreneur, makes the case that God rarely calls people out of their work. He calls them deeper into it. Moving between the book of Acts, the Gospels, and his own unlikely career across three continents, Brühlmann shows how the Holy Spirit that first sent frightened disciples into Jerusalem, and eventually to the ends of the earth, still sends ordinary people into boardrooms, classrooms, and kitchens with a mission worth their whole life.
This is a book for the Christian who feels a tug toward something bigger but doesn't know where to aim it. Across ten chapters, you'll strengthen your walk with God, clear the mental clutter holding you back, sharpen a vision worth chasing, and turn your daily work into a legacy that reaches beyond you.
Why readers keep coming back to it:Biblical stories retold with humor and heart, not just quoted
A personal testimony from science, missions, and business
A clear path from foundation to momentum to lasting impact
Answers the quiet question many believers carry: does my job actually matter to God?
Your moonshot is closer than you think.

Über den Autor
When David Brühlmann was young, he wanted to be an aviator. Growing up near the Zurich Airport in Switzerland, he dreamed of piloting the planes that flew over his house. But as he grew up, he realized his life path was leading him in a different direction. At university, he studied chemical engineering and obtained a PhD in biology. For many years, he enjoyed developing innovative ideas in the biotech [...] he felt called to make a seismic shift in his life. He moved to Cambodia to establish a scholarship program to help children and teenagers access much-needed high-quality education. Once there, he discovered his dormant entrepreneurial talents, which led him to leverage his scientific skills to start up his own biotech business, generating profits that he invests into the school scholarship fund. In addition, David has discovered a passion for writing, prompting him to publish Single for a Season, which helps Christian single people live fulfilling lives. Unstoppable is his second book written in [...] loves traveling and tasting local cuisine wherever he goes. He's a long-distance runner and has competed in a marathon. In winter, he grabs his snowboard and rides as much powder as he can in the Swiss Alps. Besides Switzerland and Cambodia, David has lived in the USA, Canada, and Ecuador, and greatly enjoys exploring the unique flavors of each [...] asked to describe himself, he says, "I'm David. I write books, promote human welfare, make YouTube videos, and work in biotech. And I love it! I have learned to find meaning in every season of my life."Connect with DavidWebsite: [...] [...] [...] [...]
