As an accomplished musician (keyboards, clarinet, saxophone) he worked the clubs and developed his own stage act. He's also appeared in TV supporting roles, ironically, playing a Military Policeman in Soldier Soldier.
In 1993 he formed his own music retail business. He gained a Guinness world record in 2006 for the longest sustained note on a wind instrument. His hobbies: playing football, model railways, music, cooking and writing.
