Freud was married to Martha Bernays in 1886, and they had several children, including Anna Freud, a prominent psychoanalyst in her own right. Freud passed away on September 23, 1939, in Hampstead, London, at the age of 83, leaving a lasting legacy on the fields of psychology and psychiatry.
