This textbook details knowledge and techniques required for the management of a broad spectrum of lower eyelid malposition, conditions, and cosmetic surgery. The lower eyelids are very prone to malposition and even mild scarring or slight irregularities cause patient dissatisfaction. Über den Autor

Jeremiah Tao, MD, FACS is a professor and the director of oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery at the Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. Professor Tao is a leader in the oculofacial plastic surgery discipline. He was the national scientific meetings program chair for the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. For the American Board of Ophthalmology, he was the subspecialty liaison, serves on the oculoplastics exam writing committee, and is an oral board examiner. For the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he served on the Ophthalmic Technology Assessments Committee - Oculoplastics and Orbit Panel that systematically reviews and reports standards for clinical practice. Professor Tao's research covers clinical aspects of orbit, eyelid, and lacrimal surgery as well as graduate medical education and operating room safety. He has trained many oculofacial plastic surgeons in the U.S and around the world. He has written hundreds of peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters and he has given national and international lectures.
