Her previous books include The Historical Jesus: A Guide for the Perplexed. Larry W. Hurtado is professor emeritus of New Testament language, literature, and theology at the University of Edinburgh. Among his many previous books are The Earliest Christian Artifacts, Lord Jesus Christ: Devotion to Jesus in Earliest Christianity, and How on Earth Did Jesus Become a God?
