Sarah Ashelford is Lecturer in Biological Sciences at the University of York and has experience in both research and education. Sarah started her career in Edinburgh where she completed a BSc (Hons) in genetics and a PhD from the Centre for HIV Research. Following two years of post-doctoral research, Sarah qualified as a secondary school science teacher and spent six years teaching in high schools in Leeds and Wakefield. Sarah moved back into higher education in 2005, working as a lecturer in the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Bradford. Subsequently, Sarah moved to the University of Lincoln, School of Health and Social Care in 2016 and joined the Department of Health Sciences at York in 2017 as a lecturer in biological sciences.
Justine Raynsford has worked as a hospital pharmacist since 1991. She currently works as a specialist clinical pharmacist and non-medical prescriber in mental health for Leeds Foundation Trust. She also works as a lecturer in the school of Nursing at Bradford, teaching pharmacology to nurses. She is joint Programme leader for the non-medical prescribing course and also co-leads the Applied Pathophysiology and Pharmacology in Acute and Long term conditions modules.
Dr Vanessa Taylor is Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing and Course Lead of the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of Huddersfield. Alongside her clinical experience with cancer, palliative and end-of-life care, Vanessa has extensive academic experience in curriculum design and the strategic development of undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses for the health and social care professions.
