Beschreibung

With one small twist of fate, Calli has lost everything. The man she loved has gone and her chances of having a family have disappeared. So when she is sent to the idyllic Greek island of Ikaria to write a magazine article, it feels like the perfect escape. The locals there are among the happiest and healthiest in the world. The island has a secret to a balanced life, one that Calli feels compelled to discover . . .

Travelling on to Crete, the island her family hails from, Calli begins to suspect there are even more secrets, darker secrets, closer to home. Her aunt Froso begins to recount the story of her own heartache as a teenage girl facing cruel hardships in rural Greece. A story of love, betrayal and revenge, it will change Calli's life forever.
