He is a recipient of the Colburn Award of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Young Investigator Award, a Packard Fellowship, the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, and both the Dreyfus New Faculty and Teacher-Scholar Awards. He has co-authored over 100 papers.
