Nabi Park isn't so sure about kimchi.
The bright red dish on the table looks bold, smells strong, and feels a little unfamiliar. While kimchi is an important food in Nabi's family, she isn't quite ready to try it yet.
During a visit with her grandmother in Korea, Nabi begins to see kimchi-and the traditions around it-in a new way. Through small moments shared in the kitchen and around the table, Nabi's curiosity slowly begins to grow.
Nabi Park Tries Kimchi is a warm early reader story about family, culture, and the courage it takes to try something new. Gentle and encouraging for beginning readers, the story celebrates curiosity, cultural traditions, and the meaningful connections formed through food and family.
This book is the first title in the Nabi Tries series, where young readers follow Nabi as she explores new foods, traditions, and experiences with curiosity and bravery.
