Über den Autor
Alex Egodotaye Asakitikpi is Head of the School of Social Sciences at IIE MSA (formerly Monash South Africa). Previously he served as Professor of Sociology at Monash South Africa and Section Editor of the South African Journal of Human Resource Management. He serves on the Executive Board of Research Committee 15 of the International Sociological Association and is a Non-Resident Scholar at the Center for Religion, Spirituality, and Health at Duke University, USA. He is the current Citizenship and Democracy Ambassador of the UNESCO-UNITWIN project. Among other outlets, his publications have appeared in the Nordic Journal of African Studies, Synthesis Philosophica, Africa Development, and African Identities. His research interests include the intersection of religion/spirituality and health outcomes, health policy in Africa, the sociocultural context of diseases and illness, and indigenous knowledge production and systems.
