Neil Gaiman is British and lives in the USA. He is the author of many highly acclaimed novels for adults and children and he has a cult following for his work in the graphic novel arena. Neil also writes screenplays and two of his own works are now films - Stardust and Coraline.

Dave McKean has created illustrations and photographs for hundreds of CD, book and comics covers, and is probably best known for his graphic novels. Dave also illustrated the bestselling children's books Coraline and The Wolves in the Walls (shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal) as well as the forthcoming The Graveyard Book.
