Zusammenfassung
A FOUNDER OF THE VISIBLE MENDING MOVEMENT: As founder of the websites Refashioner and Visible Mending and recipient of a recent Ph.D. in Costume Studies, Kate Sekules is considered one of the founders of the visible mending movement and is a preeminent voice in its quickly growing community.

INIMITABLE VOICE: Mend! is not your typical earnest craft book. Its tone is lively, unapologetic, sharp, and very smart. The author has an attitude and a strong point of view-the book is lightly snarky, extremely enthusiastic, and a little bit confrontational, all of which will speak directly to the sort of engaged young woman looking for a way to make lifestyle changes to help the Earth while also looking cool.

PRACTICAL & FUN APPLICATION: In addition to a wealth of fascinating historical and analytical information on mending as an art and a movement, the book includes extremely practical how-to guides for a variety of stitching and patching techniques, as well as tips and tricks for cultivating your sweing basket and finding the perfect mending nook in your home.
