Beschreibung
Edward Leedskalnin's mysterious and unconventional study of magnetism presents one of the most unusual scientific and philosophical works of the twentieth century. In Magnetic Current, the creator of Florida's famous Coral Castle sets forth his personal theories concerning magnetic forces, electricity, matter, and the fundamental structure of the physical world.
Originally published in the mid-twentieth century, the work reflects Leedskalnin's highly individual approach to natural philosophy and experimental observation. Rejecting many accepted scientific assumptions of his era, he proposes an alternative understanding of magnetic particles, electrical phenomena, and the hidden forces governing physical reality. Written in direct and often unconventional language, the text has fascinated generations of readers interested in magnetism, alternative science, engineering mysteries, and speculative theories of energy and matter.
Leedskalnin remains a legendary and enigmatic figure largely because of Coral Castle, the extraordinary stone structure he constructed almost entirely alone using massive blocks of coral rock. His claims regarding magnetism and natural forces have inspired continuing debate, speculation, and curiosity among engineers, researchers, inventors, and students of unusual scientific ideas.
Part scientific treatise, part philosophical speculation, and part historical curiosity, Magnetic Current occupies a unique place within the literature of alternative scientific thought and twentieth-century American eccentricity.
Ideal for readers of magnetism, alternative science, engineering history, speculative physics, natural philosophy, and unusual scientific literature.

Über den Autor
Edward Leedskalnin (1887-1951) was a Latvian-American inventor, builder, and self-taught theorist best known for constructing Coral Castle in Florida, one of the most unusual architectural and engineering curiosities in the United States. Working largely alone over several decades, Leedskalnin moved and carved enormous blocks of coral stone, inspiring widespread speculation regarding his methods and theories of magnetism and [...] addition to building Coral Castle, he published a series of pamphlets outlining his unconventional ideas concerning magnetic currents, electricity, matter, and cosmic forces. Though outside mainstream scientific consensus, his writings continue to attract readers interested in alternative theories, engineering mysteries, and independent scientific thought.
