Back in town to care for her father, Veronica Swan is looking for a distraction - and when an old teacher challenges her to enter the local winter pie festival it seems like just the thing. Mastering the perfect pumpkin pie is a challenge, but beating her former high-school nemesis makes it a worthy goal.
When the pie contest ends in a poisoning, Veronica is dragged into the middle of a murder investigation. There are potential suspects everywhere - including Veronica's friends, family and even herself - and a new-in-town sheriff who doesn't know Westhaven half as well as she does running the case. To catch a killer and clear her name, there's only one thing for it, Veronica Swan has got to get to work.
