Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is an award-winning comic-book, TV and film writer, as well as an accomplished playwright. He won a prestigious Harvey Award for his work on Marvel Knights 4, and enjoyed success with horror-tinged runs on Nightcrawler and Sensational Spider-Man. He has also penned Secret Invasion: Fantastic Four, Dead of Night: Man-Thing, Angel: Revelations and Marvel Divas; and contributed to the Nation X and Fear Itself anthologies. In the original graphic novel Fantastic Four: Season One, he modernized the seminal origin and formative first days of Marvel’s First Family. Aguirre-Sacasa also writes for movies and television, including HBO’s Emmy-nominated series Big Love and Fox’s Glee. He has written a new version of Carrie, based on the novel by Stephen King, for MGM and helped revamp the Broadway spectacular Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

Writer Al Ewing began his career on the British anthology 2000 AD. Since breaking into American comics, he has written Jennifer Blood and spin-off series The Ninjettes for Dynamite Entertainment, and the Age of Ultron tie-in issues of Avengers Assemble for Marvel Comics. Ewing’s novels include the Pax Britannia series as well as The Fictional Man. With artist Greg Land, he relaunched Marvel’s Mighty Avengers; for All-New Marvel NOW!, gave the god of mischief a new assignment in Loki: Agent of Asgard. Ewing then took revamped versions of New Avengers and Ultimates, debuted U.S.Avengers; and joined the writing team for the “No Surrender” storyline in Avengers, which brought the Hulk back from the dead. His subsequent titles include Valkyrie, Guardians of the Galaxy, Defenders, the event series Empyre and the critically revered smash hit Immortal Hulk. Ewing has cemented in his place in the Krakoan era of the X-Men titles comics with S.W.O.R.D. and X-Men: Red.

Writer Jason Aaron’s early collaboration with artist Cameron Stewart on DC/Vertigo’s The Other Side was named one of the Washington Post’s Best Comics of 2007. His next project, Scalped, garnered industry-wide praise and led to a guest spot on Wolverine, beginning Aaron’s long association with Logan on various titles, as well as the rest of Marvel’s merry mutants on books including X-Men: Schism, Wolverine & the X-Men and Amazing X-Men. Aaron rocked the Marvel Universe with Original Sin and unfolded a status-quo-shattering Asgardian epic across multiple Thor titles. He was the ideal choice to steer the Rebel crew of Star Wars into new adventures on the series’ return to Marvel, and he ushered in a new era for the publisher with Marvel Legacy. In the wake of that one-shot, he took on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers and welcomed another iconic property back to the House of Ideas with Conan the Barbarian.

Croatian artist Esad Ribić broke into the U.S. comic industry with Four Horsemen with writer Rob Rodi. His classic European-influenced artistic style garnered attention from Marvel Comics, leading to a career-making series of painted covers for Wolverine and Kingpin. Ribić’s stunning interior artwork on the Rodi-penned Loki elicited critical comparisons to the legendary Alex Ross, firmly establishing him as one of the industry’s premier painters. His interior art has also graced Silver Surfer: Requiem, Sub-Mariner: The Depths, Uncanny X-Force and Ultimate Comics Ultimates. Ribić reunited with Ultimates writer Jonathan Hickman on event series Secret Wars, and brought epic grandeur to the pages of Jason Aaron’s Thor: God of Thunder and Kieron Gillen’s Eternals.

Artist Lee Garbett has gone from U.K. newcomer to in-demand artist for America’s biggest publishers. Garbett has worked on characters ranging from Judge Dredd to Spider-Man, and helped launch the critically acclaimed DC series Batgirl.
