Über den Autor
Dave has been a serious theatregoer since my childhood. His working life was initially as a teacher, and then as a youth and community worker. In the latter role he regularly wrote articles for national youth work magazines. After retiring, he looked for other opportunities to write: for example about his experience as a human rights observer when he worked in Israel/Palestine in [...] retirement, he moved from the West Midlands to Yorkshire and continued his regular theatre going. Now living in North Yorkshire, he was a volunteer at the West Yorkshire Playhouse for some years. Over the years, his love of theatre has developed from just enjoyment of plays to a particular interest in the staging and directing of productions. He is fascinated by the impact of the auditorium design on the production. Visiting many regional theatres, he is also very interested in how the building and the programming influences the audiences attracted to productions, particularly in respect of social class.
