Woolfrik and Perigold are two down-on-their-luck kittens looking to make some extra money, so they've decided to become professional monster slayers. Well, when a huge dragon comes rampaging through the streets of Meowminster, Woolfrik and Perigold get their second chance. Only it turns out they are woefully unprepared. Luckily for them, that seemingly useless gem actually magically awakens the ghost of Earl Mortipaw, former member of the ancient guild of heroes known as Kitty Quest, who's going to whip its two newest (and only) recruits into shape.
Hot on the dragon's trail, the trio realizes it's strangely avoiding damaging property and hasn't actually eaten a single citizen. And with further investigation, they discover that an evil sorcerer named Dagzibad has kidnapped her eggs and is holding them ransom, forcing the dragon to do his bidding. Although they've never come face-to-face with a dragon, battled a powerful wizard, or even gone on a real quest before, it's up to Perigold and Woolfrik to save the day and prove they're the heroes they've always believed themselves to be.

VIBRANT, ENERGETIC ARTSTYLE: Phil Corbett's art feels both pitch perfect for what's currently working in the market but is also sure to stand out. It's vividly painted in a kaleidoscope of colors and has tons of movement. The story also isn't restrained to the comic's panels, but often interacts with them, breaks them up in interesting ways, or leaves them behind altogether.
SERIOUSLY LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY: Phil has terrific comedic timing, jam-packing this book with slapstick humor that is sure to make kids ROFL.
THE PERFECT PAIRING: Woolfrik is a cautious and occasional worrywart who likes to think things through, and Perigold is a strong, confident kitten with an attack-first-maybe-ask-questions-later approach. These best friends balances each other so well as they go up against the sometimes intimidating but always entertaining foes of Pawdor.
