The attempt of Trowitzsch is to provide a wide view about Karl Barth. Anchored in the present, the critical analysis of his work has an astonishing effect: His rediscovering as a theologian, whose work is "growing on". This phenomena could be explained by his egregious intensely exegesis of the Scriptures, the discourse about the eternally glorious God, the prophetic reconciliation doctrine, the triumphal eschatology and finally his post-scientific concept of theology. It is possible to see that precisely the defiance and harassment of the time elapsed makes necesssary to re-think the fundaments of Christian faith: The manifestation of God, the gratitude, the prayer, the Christian sermon. Thereby, Trowitzsch places Barth s work in a polyphonic dialogue between theology and philosophy of German and European lyric and prose. The result: A sparkling, twinkling richness of reference and reciprocal illuminations. The theology of Karl Barth gains an unusually encouraging energy, not being regressive in face to Modernism, rahter pointing out of it.
